Literature Text

Only when you've known true happiness
is your life a living hell.
An unlit darkness
with no voice to yell.

You've lost the game of chess
as by your hand the queen fell.
With no way out of this mess
you await the final toll of the bell.

Never again finding that rest
as you walk amongst the living dead.
The hole in your chest
caused a leak in your head.

Dwelling in the unsaid
longing to be confessed.
A wistfull shadow in an empty bed
mourning the failed test.

A thousand cries echo from the depth
smothered by agony and fright.
It's been so long since you've slept
insomnia accompanies the desolate night.

For so long you've but wept
by the prophesized sight.
The promises unkept
of an abandoned fight.

A forlorn hope fighting a lost cause
...
